Indigo Sponged Nails

I finally got around to painting my nails something other than just a solid colour.  I also don't get to paint my nails too often, unless i have a few days off because I work in a deli. So I'll have to take this off in a couple days but oh well.

I started with a base of Joe - Iris, then sponged on some Joe - Ink, and finished it off with a bit of sponging on the very tip in Creative - Silver Anniversary. I quite liked how this turned out. And I for once managed not to chip any of them right after doing them. =)

Till next time, Thanks for reading =)

Pink Water Marble & Morning Glories

First off some pictures of the white and blue morning glories.

This is the third water marble I've done. This time I did it on my 8 year old sister.

I used Joe in White as a base colour. For the marble I used Joe in White, Joe in Jet, and Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Fuchsia Power. (at least I think that's the pink I used)

Every nail turned out quite differently, but it was difficult getting her to dip her finger in the right way.

Purple Water Marble

This is the 2nd water marble I've done, and considering I did it on someone else's nails other than my own, I think it turned out quite well. I also quite like the combination of purples, considering purple is my favourite colour.

First hand done, and still taped.

All the tape...'cause I thought it looked neat.

Both hands before cleanup and after tape removal.

One hand, the pic of the other hand was too blurry.

Slightly blurry, but I like how the thumbs turned out the best.

I used Nicole by OPI Base Coast and Nicole by OPI Top Coat. i used a white polish as a base for the water marble. And for the purples: 'Faded Violet' - joe, 'Jet' - joe, 'Di-Vine is Divine' - Nicole by OPI.

Indigo Ink

As you could tell from my last post, my nails were very chipped, and I didn't feel like waiting till Friday to do my nails. And since I got new polish, I decided to make them match my toe nails somewhat. I used the colour 'INK' from Joe. In this picture, and when first looking at it, it looks more purple, than blue. I would really call it indigo.

Once I put it on my nails, I realized it was way more blue, than purple. But still a nice colour.

One Coat

Two Coats
I liked this colour so much, I almost left my nails just one solid colour. But I ended up adding just a little something to my thumbs - A couple silver stripes:

I used the Revlon Calcium Gel Nail Hardener as a Base coat, and Nicole by OPI Topcoat.

Chipped Nail Polish & Tiger Stripes

On Sunday I decided to redo the polish on my toe nails. I had nail art stickers on the big toes, and I had a very hard time getting them off. In fact their is still a little bit of one left on my nail. After I painted over it I came up with the idea that I could have filed it off, but oh well, next time.

I bought some new nail polishes from Superstore, 3 bottles of Joe brand. The one in the middle caught my eye, it actually looks quite purple in the bottle, but really it is more blue(indigo I guess). Since I bought new polishes I decided to use all 3 of the colours in a nail design.

White, Ink, Jet

I went with the 'Ink' as a base coat, then used 'White' for a tip. The black I used was Kiss Nail Art Black.

The stripes didn't quite end up like I was wanting them to. So after looking at some pics of tiger stripe nails, I decided to practice on my finger nails since they were insanely chipped anyways.

I like the look of these stripes better, I made them too fat on my toe nails.

Well, till next time-
